New GM Unlocked T87A TCMs
NOTE: Locate your Serv# as identified in red in the TCM image above.
This TCM is for serv# 24279973
You can now purchase New GM T87A TCMs for your 2017-2019 GM vehicle equipped with the 10-Speed and 8-Speed transmissions directly from HP Tuners that are already unlocked and ready for tuning. Simply install your new HP Tuners TCM, and you are ready to tune with your MPVI / MPVI2 and HP Tuners VCM Suite.
Purchase & Installation Instructions
To purchase a new unlocked T87A TCM which is ready for tuning for your specific vehicle application, simply identify your Serv# which is located on the top of your T87A TCM, then select the corresponding Serv# from the above drop-down menu and finally provide your VIN in the cell above.
Lastly, once you receive your TCM from us, ensure you follow the Replace T87A TCM Instructions.
Due to the added complexity, once unlocked the T87A TCM for the GM 10-Speed and 8-Speed needs to be individually licensed with 4 Credits allowing you to tune with your MPVI / MPVI2 and VCM Suite. Please note the MPVI2 and Credits are not included with this product and need to be purchased separately.
TCM Unlock Requirements
Before ordering your T87A TCM, please read the below requirements;
Confirm your T87A Serv# matches the number above
Provide your VIN in the “order notes” box in the shopping cart
An MPVI, MPVI2, or MPVI3 is required to tune (not included)
4 Credits are required to tune (not included)
A custom tune is not included
NOTE: The GM T87A TCM you receive will be unlocked and programmed to work on diesel vehicles, to use on a gasoline vehicle you will need a GM tool or a J2534 tool to reprogram the unit yourself. You can also special-order this TCM programmed for gasoline vehicles by contacting our sales team.
NOTE: T87A TCM Services support a variety of 10LXXE equipped vehicles. Our latest support covers the majority of 2017-2018 vehicles with the following exceptions/additional applications:
2017-2020 Camaro ZL1
2018 – Escalade, Suburban, Tahoe, Yukon
2019 – Camaro SS (excluding partial year switch to T93 TCMs)
