DPF & CAT Delete Pipe | GM Duramax Diesel LML 15.5-16

4″ pipe for DPF and CAT removal.

Suitable for vehicles – 2015.5 and 2016 Chevy / GMC Duramax Diesel LML. Silverado and Sierra pickups. Short bed crew cab and long bed crew cab. Not suitable for 3500/4500/5500 Cab & Chassis commercial type trucks.

2015 or 2015.5? – 2015 is a split year. The 2011-2015 downpipe attaches to the turbo pipe with a V-band type clamp. The 2015.5-2016 models use a 3-bolt flange connection. Be sure to visually check the type of clamp your truck is equipped with.

The exhaust pipe material is T409 stainless steel. A common misconception: unlike T304 stainless steel, T409 stainless steel is still magnetic. So if you are checking to see if you really have stainless steel, keep in mind that the magnet will still stick to it.

Installation – Installation takes about 1 hour using basic hand tools on the ground of your driveway or garage. Faster if you have a car elevator. A trim may be required for installation on a shorter wheelbase. Clamps, hangers, and fasteners are included. You may have to reuse some of the factory fasteners.

Fuel mileage – Expect a significant increase in fuel mileage. If your DPF is clogged, you probably average about 13-14 miles per hour. More or less depending on the degree of clogging. After removing the DPF/CAT, expect a combined mileage of 18-19 mpg. Big tires and poor driving habits will result in lower mileage.

Tuner required – Removal of DPF, CAT, SCR and/or DOC includes removal and elimination of emission related sensors. A tuner with DPF removal capability is required to prevent engine warning lights or diagnostic trouble codes. If you don’t already have a tuner with DPF removal capability, we recommend EZ Lynk.
